CSOPA is supported by a volunteer board of directors.

Jeff Hanson – Chair
Jeff is a father of three children who have all participated at various levels of CSOPA. He is an educator who graduated from Dickinson State University with a B.Sc. Degree in Speech/Theatre. Jeff has been involved in theatre for many years, whether it is performing on stage, being part of a stage crew, directing, and, one of his favourite things, being a patron of the Arts. Jeff is thrilled that his children carry on the love of being involved with live theatre. He enjoys being on the CSOPA board and values the work ALL of the stakeholders put into making the CSOPA family what it is.

Vicky Jensen – Vice-chair
Vicky Jensen works in administration at Royal LePage Wheeler Cheam. Her daughter joined CSOPA in 2008 at 5 years old and it has been an important part of her life ever since. She is truly excited and passionate about what CSOPA offers young people in our community and is honoured to be involved with such an amazing organization.

Alicia Champ – Secretary/Treasurer
Alicia Champ is a local Chilliwack Lampwork Bead and Wire Work artist, Mom of 3 and Teacher of many. She is well known in the local art community as well as internationally.
As an instructor at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre and her home studio, through live demonstrations and jewellery making magazine projects she shares her passion for glass and wire with the world.

Kirsten Rempel
Kirsten Rempel is a teacher at Sts’ailes Community School in Agassiz. Her teenage daughter, Avery, is in her sixth year with CSOPA; and since Kirsten is sadly too old to be enrolled in CSOPA herself, she has become involved behind the scenes as a member of the Board, and as a vocal and persistent 50/50 raffle ticket seller.

Keely Speton Harvey
Keely has been bringing her kids to CSOPA since 2010. As the years have passed from Jumpstart programs to Mainstage, CSOPA and its people have become an important part of her family’s life. She is excited to see CSOPA’s continued growth in our community and to share the important role the arts play in enriching the lives of all people.

Jamea Lister – Ad Hoc consultant for company history and productions
Jamea has been involved in CSOPA almost since the very beginning. He works as a theatre tech and we have benefited from his skills for many years. When he isn’t dressed in black, teching shows, you can find him at the model train club or playing board games or Lego.

ANNELISE WOYKE
ANNELISE WOYKEADMINISTRATIVE DIRECTOR
AnneLise has been supporting CSOPA with administrative and bookkeeping duties, as well as costume organizing and anything else that needs doing, since 2006. She has learned many things about theatre education but especially appreciates the family atmosphere and the inclusivity that CSOPA provides. AnneLise is married to Dan and they have two grown sons. She is also the caretaker of Harold, the CSOPA fish.
LISA BRAUN
LISA BRAUNARTISTIC DIRECTOR, MAINSTAGE DIRECTOR, JUNIOR YEAR 2 & 3 DIRECTOR, PERFORMANCE CLASS DIRECTOR
Lisa Braun has a rich and varied history in the theatrical arts; performing, set/props design and construction, and directing. She has completed various educational programs, on her way to an MFA in Psychology/Fine Arts (Theatre). She became involved in CSOPA in 2007 when her oldest son joined the Junior Program. She is honoured to work with the amazing students, staff, board and parents at CSOPA, and has truly found her life’s work.
LISA ZIMMER

Lisa has been involved in music since she was a child. She has a BA in Vocal Performance & is BCRMTA vocal teacher. Her experience ranges in many musical styles & for the last 19 years she has taught vocal workshops, vocal coaching & piano. Lisa has been teaching with CSOPA for the last 9 years & this is her 7th MainStage production as musical director. She counts it as a privilege to work with such talented students & loves being creative with her directing team.
EMILY HENNEY
EMILY HENNEYMAINSTAGE CHOREOGRAPHER, INTERMEDIATE MUSICAL THEATRE DIRECTOR/CHOREOGRAPHER
Emily has been a performer since the tender age of 4 years old. She grew up as a dancer and began teaching hip hop, ballet, tap and musical theatre to kids of all ages. She fell in love with musical theatre when she was cast in HAIR in high school. She then decided to pursue a career in acting. Emily graduated as an actor from Douglas College, from there she studied Shakespeare and film at Seacoast Theatre Centre in West Van and she rounded out her training at Studio 58 where she graduated in December 2012. Since graduation, Emily has worked professionally as touring Stage Manager for the Arts Umbrella with the Junior and Senior theatre troupes. Recent acting credits include Serena in Legally Blonde (Theatre Under the Stars), Langdon the Journalist in Sea Of Green (rEvolver Festival at the Cultch), Decius Brutus in Julius Caesar and Helen Trent in The 13th Chair (Studio 58). Emily is thrilled to be making her teaching and directing debut at CSOPA with such a fantastic group of people! Here’s to a great season!
ANNA CANADAY
ANNA CANADAYINTERMEDIATE MUSICAL THEATRE VOCAL DIRECTOR
With thirteen years of vocal training and a Diploma of Music from Kwantlen Polytechnic University, Anna has traveled the world performing music. From the age of six Anna has been performing on stage in musicals. Through out high school, Anna was leading vocal jazz groups, as well as acting lead roles in musicals. After high school, Anna went on to become a soloist with choirs such as Capilano Chambers Singers, and the Kwantlen Polytechnic University choir. She was also singing with the Vancouver Good Noise Gospel choir, when the choir shared the stage with Barbra Streisand in 2012. As of recent, Anna has been teaching voice locally, and inspiring students to follow where their instruments lead them.
PHAYDRA GAGNON
PHAYDRA GAGNONINTERMEDIATE ACTING DIRECTOR
Phay Gagnon is an internationally-certified Actor Combatant and professional actor, specializing in physical and Indigenous theatre. Her previous credits include Mariam in Wunderdog Theatre’s I Am For You and Axis Theatre Company’s Th:woxiya: The Hungry Feast Dish. A recent graduate of University of the Fraser Valley’s Bachelor of Arts program, Phay’s goal is to teach performers of all ages how to take care of themselves and others emotionally and physically at all times. In her “spare” time, she is a fighter with Affair of Honour, a freelance fight choreographer, makeup designer, and researcher. This is her first year with CSOPA, which has been a constant source of inspiration for the past year.
HAILEY HANSON
HAILEY HANSONINTERMEDIATE MUSICAL THEATRE A - STAGE MANAGER
Hailey joined CSOPA at age 10 after watching CSOPA’s ‘Seussical the Musical’. She knew shortly after that that acting would become a passion of hers. She has been working as an assistant instructor and stage manager at CSOPA since 2015. Her previous roles include Belle (Beauty And The Beast), Beatrice (Unity 1918), Gambler Ancestor (The Addams Family Musical). She is so grateful she gets to watch these young performers grow and do what they love. They never fail to amaze and blow her away.

Meghan has been a part of CSOPA for more than a decade. CSOPA has been a fundamental part of her life. Four years ago she got asked to teach and has never looked back. Teaching has become the best part of her week. You may have seen Meghan in previous Mainstage productions of Mary Poppins and the Little Mermaid.

Katie Schram discovered her love for theatre at CSOPA and is so grateful to have the opportunity to show others exactly what she loves about it. She has been in the theatre community of Chilliwack for 8 years and plans to continue studying the craft in the years to come.
MALONE HANSONACTING IN / WITH STAGE MANAGER
Malone Hanson is 15 years old and in grade ten at GW graham secondary school. She has been a student at csopa for 6 years and an instructor since summer of 2018. She has very much enjoyed being a summer camp instructor and the Acting in/with stage manager and is looking forward to what the future years have to bring.
GRAYSEN BRAUNJR MUSICAL THEATRE YEAR 2 STAGE MANAGER
Graysen Braun has spent most of his life immersed in the wonders of the theatre world, which has shaped his ambition to further his career in the theatre community. He has enjoyed instructing for 2018 spring camps, as well as co-directing for the 2018 summer camps. He is ecstatic and overjoyed to be a stage manager for the Jr Year 2 class.
