Object of Program:

To encourage a broadening of knowledge within our performers and to train them in the hopes of using them as technical crew for performances in the future.  Even if students do not choose to work as crew after this point, knowledge of the technical areas will hopefully foster an appreciation and respect for crew and designers in the future.

These week long programs are a perfect introduction for beginners to musical theatre, and is also a great way for seasoned actors and actresses to hone their skills.  Students will put on a show at the end of the week for family and friends, combining the triple threat training (singing, acting and dancing) that they will learn throughout the week.  Students will have the opportunity to perform onstage with theatrical lights, costumes, props, and a set they create themselves

July 3-6 – “Crazy Critters“  3-5 years old 10:00am-12:00pm

Join us for a week of fun mornings full of zany animal-themed crafts, games, songs and dress-up!  Preschoolers will get to explore their imaginations while making friends in a positive and excitingly theatrical environment.  Parents are invited to join the class for the last fifteen minutes on the final day of the program for a small “Show and Tell” of what we’ve done in class.

July 6-13 – “80′s Prom“  10-13 years old 9:00am-3:00pm

July 16-20 – “Funny Fairytales”  6-9 years old  9:00am-3:00pm

July 23-27 – “Monster Mash”  10-13 years old  9:00am-3:00pm

July 30-Aug 3 – “3…2…1…Blast Off!”  6-9 years old 9:00am-3:00pm

Aug 7-10, 13-18 – “Theatre Impossible”  10-15 years old 9:00am-3:00pm

In this exciting two-week program, students will create their very own musical to perform at the Art on the Farm Festival in Columbia Valley on Aug 18.  No musical theatre experience is necessary as students will receive classes in singing, dancing and acting.  Students will also learn about and design their own costumes, sets, props, as well as playwrighting and character development exercises through exciting, hands-on activities.
