JumpStart is a games-based exploration of musical theatre. In the Fall term, students are introduced to the world of theatre in a fun, relaxed environment. In the Spring term, children will explore the importance of movement & dance to tell stories on stage. This play-based program teaches students important skills for performance and for life.
Note: There are no prerequisites for this class. They can take term 1 without staying for term 2, and they can take term 2 even if they were not here for term 1. Term 1 runs September- December; term 2 runs February-May
Jumpstart Year 2 | Ages 6-7
Sept 7, 2026 – May 10, 2027, $711 per year, Mondays 4:40 – 5:40 P.M.
Jumpstart 2 offers an enhanced, game-based exploration of musical theatre and storytelling. It introduces children aged 6-7 to the world of music, theatre, and dance. The year-long program will lay the foundation for basic storytelling, music theory, singing technique, acting, and dancing principles, as well as beginner stage management and script study practices. This program prepares students for further study in the performing arts, particularly Year 1 and 2 of the Junior Theatre Program and Junior Devised. Through individual and group participation, students will benefit from increased confidence, clarity of speech, thought, and emotion, personal and social awareness, and the ability to problem-solve, think creatively, and work cooperatively.
Notes: This class does not have 2 separate terms. It runs September-May. Students do not need to have taken Jumpstart 1 for this class. Anyone within the age range can enroll.
THE FIRST ACT | Ages 8-12

The goal of The First Act class is to introduce students to the world of performance. Students will learn a strong foundation in acting techniques. The class hones in on the individual performance through monologue work! Using individual performances, students will explore their strengths as actors. After that, the course introduces actors to teamwork and collaboration when creating by practicing and performing multi-person scenes. These classes may be taken in succession or independently of each other.

The Off Broadway class is designed to introduce students to the world of performance through musical theatre. Students will learn foundational skills in performance, dance, and music. Through group performance, students can explore and strengthen their skills working as a team. In this class, students will learn a short musical to be presented at the end of the term. These classes may be taken in succession or independently of each other.
