NUMBER OF DAYS UNTIL WE ARE IN THE CULTURAL CENTRE = 1
NUMBER OF DAYS UNTIL FIRST AUDIENCE = 5
Today was our last day in the banquet hall. Honestly it’s going by so fast I have to constantly remind myself to enjoy every moment. Today started off with our usual run, stretching and core work. We started our day very quickly with jumping right into our run through. We did today’s run-through with our rehearsal track since the band was not called for today.
What the cast is always reminded of is that we need to ‘get up’ mentally and physically for the show. Right from the beginning. It’s just like athletes before a big game. We are athletes and this is our game. We took 10 minutes for a pee and water break at the end f act one (what would be intermission IN FIVE DAYS)
We finished act 2 and we all sat down like the big happy family we are and our wonderful directors gave us our notes and we were dismissed.
So. Our time rehearsing has come to an end. We are now piecing this musical together. Makeup is tomorrow we start cue to cue tomorrow (lighting) our set has been moved in (by our wonderful crew). People have been trained for hair and makeup and being backstage and in the booth. It’s all coming together and i’m not sure if I want to start hyperventilating or screaming with excitement. I guess we will find out…
Stay awesome
QUOTES OF THE DAY:
‘Hannah, Caylen will tickle you and I want an honest reaction’ ‘I might accidentally punch him in the face…’ ‘Well… If that’s your honest reaction.’
‘Im super excited to have dead makeup on tomorrow‘

DAYS UNTIL AUDIENCE: 7
DAYS UNTIL THE CULTURAL CENTRE: 0
THE TIME HAS COME MY FRIENDS WE ARE NOW MOVED INTO THE CULTURAL CENTRE.
Today was so fantastic and really tiring.
So the day started off with the directors telling us we all didn’t need to be there so early (we were all so excited) the doors were opened and we basically all ran in like the small children we are. We were all introduced to the back stage and it’s rules. Today was cue to cue. Which is a very long process only because everyone needs to learn a lot In one day. This is the day where we literally go from one lighting cue to sound cue to lighting cue. This day is mostly for the crew to see how the actors on stage affect things. Safety is top priority. All of this is such a wonderful learning experience.
We saw our set today which honestly looks killer. I can’t really describe it for you because you’ll just have to come and see for yourself 🙂
Today was also a practice makeup day. Kessia and I (Kessia who plays Wednesday) get to do a very interesting makeup technique that makes us look SO SCARY, but honestly looks awesome. So we practiced that. The undead ancestors got their makeup done. All of theirs are basically the same base makeup but they all have their own little special details. I just want to share everything because honestly, they look so killer. But everyone’s just going to come and see it for themselves.
So as the day was progressing, we were working from scene to scene, cue to cue. There is a lot of down time is a cue to cue. Only because this day isn’t really for the actors. It’s a little bit for us to just see how we move in the space, how the space feels and sounds and looks.
It seems so much bigger than I remember it. As I was sitting waiting for my scene to come up I was looking around the space with the lights and the set and the people. I’m so excited. It’s going to be (can you guess?) KILLER.
So tomorrow is going to be continuing cue to cue. And another practice makeup day.
QUOTES OF THE DAY:
‘oh Hannah you put your false eyelashes on backwards.’
‘NO EATING IN YOUR MAKEUP’
‘I look like I could be on the walking dead’
