Today was our second run through of the whole play. I’d say it went pretty good! Our usual routine an hour of running things that we need to tighten up; dances, harmonies anything that needs tightening up. Our run (which was soooo cold, with a wind chill of -398) and then back to the building for stretching, yoga and abb workouts that were very nicely interrupted by Caylen (Gomez) telling me that we need to go practice the tango. As we finished tweaking little bits of the tango the rest of our cast finished the abb workouts. We did our prop checks for our awesome new props. It’s so fun to see the little bits of the show coming together. People are making discoveries and starting to make more sense in their scenes. It’s so rad.
As we all try our very best to bring our A game every scene, every dance and every song I can feel us getting stronger. So, with our second day of ‘stumble through’s’ (going relatively ok..) we do it all again tomorrow.
It’ll be…rad you guessed it.
Tips for the day:
- Lemon tea with honey will literally be your best friend.
- Instead of going out to get lunch pack small healthy snacks that you can eat through the day to keep your energy up
- Make sure everyone has a list of where you enter and exit and which scenes you are in, trust m it makes your life 100x easier
- Sleep. Sleep. Sleep. It’s your best friend.
- Be kind to yourself
